Increase Web Traffic: 3 Surefire Tips To Get Laser-Targeted Traffic To Your Sites

Web Traffic: 3 Surefire Tips To Get Laser-Targeted Traffic To Your Sites

I am about to show you how to increase your web traffic dramatically.  If you are tired of beating your head up against a brick wall, then these tips will save you months of headaches.

Thank your lucky stars that over 200 million people access the Increase Web TrafficInternet.  When it comes to making money online, you can’t ignore the mere presence of 200 million people, no matter what you sell on the internet.

Say what you will, but if you’ve been online for any amount of time, you already know that getting the audience you want is a lot harder than it seems.

When the dust settles, you have search engines to submit to, links to make, banner exchanges to sign up for, e-mail databases to create, lists to post to, and I could go on and on.

It is absolutely vital that you think outside the box when you are designing a web promotion strategy.  You see, the Internet provides a place for any and everyone to share, receive, and contribute information.

But here’s the real kicker…you have to know HOW to harness this traffic and give the people what they are looking for.  Keep reading as we cut through the smoke and mirrors.  You will walk away with a solid plan for increasing your web traffic.

Let’s begin…

1) Target The Right Audience.

No doubt about it, the Internet is a market of niches; and if you have the capability of appealing to one or more of these niches, you can become very successful.

Here’s the tip…the more obscure the subject, and the smaller the market, the less users you will get for your website.

With that being said, you goal here is to get people who are interested, and with money to spend, to come to your site and become loyal users.

It is a waste of time to market to people whose interests are different from what your website is promoting.

Consider this fact:  If you goal is to make money, you want to bring to your website the types of people who are prepared to buy what you are selling.  There is no need to reinvent the wheel here. Being everything to everybody will put you on the short end of the stick every time.

Let me ask you…who will benefit the most from visiting your site?  If you can answer this question, you have your target market.

Direct your marketing efforts only towards that group people, and you will be able to get your foot in the door and start seeing some real profit.

By now, you are probably wondering just how to find your target audience.  A good rule of thumb is to look for online communities, e-mail lists, discussion forums, and virtual communities in your niche.

Poke around different sites to see what is most important to them.  What are their complaints?  What problem keeps popping up that no one has solved?  You’ll be surprised at just how much you can learn from this method.

In fact, if you do this early enough in the game, and on a consistent basis, your marketing strategy will develop right before your eyes.

2) Know Your Competition.

If you really want to increase your web traffic immensely, then research your niche and spend as much time as possible studying how other website are conducting business.  You can use any search engine to find websites located within your niche.

But that’s not all.  Visit your competitor’s sites as soon as possible.  What you can learn can help improvise the quality of your own website.

Read their content, follow the links on their website, check out and even order their products. See what their promotion techniques are, find out their search engine ranking, and more importantly – find out what group of people they appear to be targeting the most.

Pay close attention to those features that seems to gain a lot of usage.  Do they blast free offers, give out discount coupons, offer free software, offer membership to a free newsletter, and do other marketing activities worth modeling?

The point here is to look at the big picture.  What are they doing to add value to their site?  Take notice of just how well they deliver.  In fact, ask yourself if they over-deliver.

A word of caution here:  Competitors site do change, and change often.  It is to your advantage to check on these sites on a routine basis.

Stay ahead of the game and be flexible. Despite what you may have heard, consider getting on your competitors mailing list.  This way you will know what they are offering when, and how much.

Get to know your competitors well.  The more you know, the easier it will be for you to beat them to the punch and increase your web traffic

3) Make Your Business Easy To Find

As you might have noticed, marketing messages are everywhere, and it is easy to get lost in the crowd.

I’m telling you, society has a short attention span.  So, do whatever it takes to persuade them to your side – and do it fast.

For starters, your domain name is your signature.  It is a great tool for catching your target audience’s attention.  What it boils down to is making a good first impression.

Having your own domain name projects a professional image of your website.  It tells the world you mean business.  And, on top of that, it tells your niche that you have dedicated a space to serve only them.

And, just in case you are wondering, getting a domain name is really cheap.

The main thing here is to grab a name that stands out from the crowd – one that commands attention.  Choose a unique word or short phrase.  Something people will remember and can easily type into a web browser.  Think of words that cause good feelings to stir and begin there.

My point is, make the domain as distinctive as possible because it is what people will use to come to your website.

All in all, you can run a successful business and garner the lion’s share of online traffic if you know where to begin.  Where will you go from here?

The Rarely Told Truth About Network Marketing

The Rarely Told Truth About Network Marketing

Today I am going to talk about something that seems to be one of those things that people either love or hate. What I am talking about is network marketing, also called mlm or multi-level marketing. Right from the beginning I will say that there is no need to have extreme views about this, it is simply a business model that you can use if you wish.

However, it is crucial that you understand HOW the business model of network marketing works.

I think there are basically two reasons that some people seem to be almost electrocuted, simply by hearing someone mention the word network marketing. Either they have tried it themselves, and because they didn’t have a clue on how to do it they failed miserably. Or they belong to the network marketing pyramidgroup of people who can’t get the idea that mlm = pyramid scheme out of their heads.

This second misconception is easy to debunk. Pyramid schemes are illegal almost everywhere, do you really think large multinational companies could operate year after year on an entirely illegal basis?

Secondly, this view on network marketing shows that the speaker is ignorant. He or she hasn’t done an ounce of homework on the various businesses that are available to each of us today, and they are ignorant of the industry itself.

This means they aren’t serious. It means they “would like” to make more money, but have no intention of making it happen. They continually “look” for home businesses, which is enough to satisfy their minds that they “did everything they could“, but everything they find out there is flawed and are “scams”. They are looking to buy “hope”, not a business.

There is a Chinese saying that goes something like this:”If you spend too much time thinking about your next step, you will be standing on one leg for the rest of your life“. Yes, there ARE scams out there, but mlm is not a dirty word and it is not a synonym for scam. Get over it!

***********************************************
BREAKING NEWS! Corporate America a Pyramid Scam?
***********************************************

As for the comparison to a pyramid in general – think of any company that comes to mind. The company will probably have a CEO, president, vice presidents, middle management, a sales force, and hourly employees.

It goes without saying that the guy at the top, the CEO, is going to make the corporate pyramidmost money, and the compensations continue to decrease down the ladder which starts at his cushy leather chair. The only way to get paid more and move up the ladder is to boot someone else out of their spot – and this is what people call okay and normal!

Not to mention the fact that the corporate slave masters seem to have no problem with working people to the limits…and then kicking them out the door before any of the benefits kick in. (As always there are some exceptions, of course). How is this any less pyramid than network marketing? All people in the company work hard, but ONLY those at the very top has “permission” to make a lot of money.

Now, in network marketing the basic idea is that it will be of great benefit to everyone involved to help people who are new reach the top. In fact the whole business idea hinges on this idea – the only way to become really successful in the long term is to help others. Of course there will always be a mathematical limit to how large a network can become, but with todays global marketplace, and a suitable compensation plan, there is usually plenty of room for everybody.

A network marketing company can diversify and find new markets, just like all companies have to.

But what about the miserable statistics of network marketing, the over 90% drop-out rate etc.?

This is mainly caused by the simple fact that not  many people know how toNumis Network Compensation Plan do network marketing correctly. And I must admit that some network marketing companies are responsible for this themselves, by limited training and support.

You see, this is a somewhat unique industry. Most people don’t realize that network marketing is a business of marketing and promotion pursued by people who have NO IDEA how to market and promote.

Read the above paragraph once more and let it sink in…

If you are going to be involved in network marketing you need to develop both the right mind set and acquire the right knowledge (no, they usually don’t teach this in college).

You must learn that when you do this business right:

* You don’t have to “sell”

* You don’t have to ask people to join your business.. They ask you!

* You don’t have to post “work at home” flyers!

* People will PAY YOU to prospect them

You should learn that this is not at all about the Vitamins or whatever product your company is selling. In fact, this is one of the single biggest mistakes people make in network marketing.

Network Marketing The Organic Way

Network Marketing The Organic Way

Network marketing is, or should be, organic by definition.  After all, it comes about as a natural product, or byproduct, of normal actions of you, the network marketer.  Like most things organic, it might benefit a little from some planting, fertilizing and removal of parasites.

A genuine “network marketer” is concentrating more on the network than the marketing side of the equation.  social network marketingMany of the sales made by network marketers come more often from the trust and relationship the buyer has with the marketer rather than from the perceived qualities of the product itself.  Make no mistake here, a good product at a reasonable price can influence a lot of potential buyers, but the trust in the seller will have a lot more to do with success, all other things being equal.

This brings up a point for those interested in getting into a network marketing program, but who are afraid of having to “sell” things.  If done properly, the major “job” of the network marketer is to continually expand their circle of friends and acquaintances.  It’s a rough life, isn’t it?

Another point to remember is that many internet business opportunities and internet marketing techniques adapt themselves quite easily to the network marketing model.  The main difference the network is built in cyberspace and you may never see a single customer.

HOW TO BUILD A NETWORK

There are many places and activities that are good for building your network, but there are a couple of steps you might want to take first.

* Prepare yourself:  At first, there are going to be two strong tendencies on your part.  One is to throw up your hands and quit at the first question or contact, the other is going to be the desire to make every meeting into a sale.  Both of these will probably be influenced primarily by ignorance.  If you don’t know what you are talking about, you will either avoid the topic completely, or babble idiotically.

You should definitely be as familiar as possible with your company, its history, its place in the business community, the products you sell, prices, return policies, and the business opportunity itself, in the case of a multi-level-marketing business. You don’t have to have every figure or statistic immediately at hand, that’s what brochures, website, and lunch dates are for, but you should be able to present a rational overview without consternation.network marketing pyramid

You should also prepare some simple, tantalizing responses to such beautiful lead in questions such as, “And what business are YOU in?”  In his book “The Wave 4 Way To Building Your Downline,” Richard Poe offers tips from a successful network marketing professional named Jerry Campisi.  When asked what he does for a living, Jerry would commonly reply, “I’m a lifestyle marketer.”  This response would very often elicit a request for further details on the part of the listener who would then be in the position of asking about what Jerry had to sell rather than having to run away from a sales pitch.

In his network marketing classic, “Big Al’s Super Prospecting: Special Offers & Quick-Start Systems“, Tom “Big Al” Schreiter offers much the same advice, including a list of sixteen possible responses, such as, “I put people on the fast track to retirement.  I save them money and help them retire 15 years early”.  See how it works?

* Prepare your tools:  It doesn’t hurt to have some brochures in your pocket or purse, but the biggest single physical network marketing tool you will need for building your business and your network is the simple business card.  Always have plenty of these with you and hand them out liberally.  They should be simple and unobtrusive but should give the prospect all they need to get in touch with you.  They should NOT be sales pitches, although they can contain the name of your business and/or a quick overview of your business.  For example:  Bob’s Mowing – Complete Landscaping and Lawn Care.  It is also a plus to include a website and email, particularly if they contain information about your business:  bobrobertslandscaping.com, email bob@bobrobertslandscaping.com.  That website did not exist when I wrote this, by the way, so if you are Bob Roberts and are in landscaping, go for it!

WHERE TO BUILD YOUR NETWORK

Your network will be mainly built from two groups, professional contacts and social contacts.  I view professional contacts as two groups, although there might be some overlap or blurring between the two.  I refer to connected and non-connected professionals.

YOUR PROFESSIONAL NETWORK

Connected professionals are the people you work with or come in contact with as a result of your “real” business if you are just getting started in network marketing.  You have to be careful here as you can alienate someone you need for your regular business, or you might create a conflict or overstep a boundary.  Just as one example, many companies frown on soliciting and might consider even talking about your network business as grounds for censure or even firing.

Non-connected professionals are those such as property managers, real estate agents, car sales people, and others who may already have a rich network of contacts, who may have some sales experience or expertise, and who might be interested in your opportunity if not your product.  I won’t call these people “fair game”, but you certainly do have a little more latitude in contacting them and explaining your business, and having them join you could be quite a boost.

YOUR SOCIAL NETWORK

You may already have a broad network of social contacts, but here are a few suggestions of what you can do to broaden this network.

1.  Public places and events:  You can frequent malls, fairs, coffee shops, sidewalk sales, garage sales, and other group functions…all in the interest of broadening your reach.  Stay away from selling.  Talk of generalities or the weather, or who won the game last night, but have your cards ready and know what you are going to say when the moment arrives.  A lady asked me about a wrap I had on my wrist the other day, and I jokingly replied that it was an occupational hazard.  I spent so much time making money on my computer that I must have gotten carpal tunnel syndrome.  Trust me, after that, she was more interested in the money she could make than possible damage to her arm.  By the way, I switched to an ergonomic keyboard and mouse along with a better chair and it cleared up.

2.  Clubs and organizations:  While many of these are targeted groups with agendas of their own, there are a great many opportunities to network with the membership, and they are a great way to expand your own group of contacts.  You can also sometimes get some great help in other ways as well.  More than one person, including myself, has gotten a good job through a social contact, or a good price on furniture.

3.  Speaking engagements:  If you are knowledgeable on a subject related to your business, you can provide free workshops, classes, or talks on that subject.  Don’t think it works?  I once watched a woman who sold self-defense items such as pepper spray, whistles, and books, sell over 200 items after giving a 45 minute talk on protecting yourself.

4. Business lunches or seminars:  Here’s an opportunity to mingle with like minded people who might be interested in what you have to offer.  It’s a great time to exchange cards and practice your “what do you do for a living?” response.  By the way, there is a website called MeetUp.com.  You can go there and sign up to join or start groups of people in your area who share your interests.  Two weeks from today, I am going to participate in a seminar on search engine optimization.  The audience will include a lot of people who will be interested in internet marketing…a topic I know a little about.  I wonder if I can give them a card?

There are many other situations such as PTA meetings, weddings, and even church functions which become great network marketing opportunities when you leave the selling at home and concentrate on making friends and acquaintances.

The trend at this time in marketing would be to market yourself as well as your business on the web – putting together your brand like a leader, and generate a never-ending stream of leads and income. That’s great! Are you aware that you will find oceans of people that aren’t online that would like to start internet marketing, but have no idea how?!

This is a simple 3-Step process to market the Empower Network Offline:

1.Find networking groups in your town. You should use meetup.com to locate groups you are interested in. Because Anyone can make use of the Empower Network, nearly ANYBODY is a lead for you personally. I recommend keeping away from groups that need you to pay a hefty annual fee to network. You will find plenty of free and inexpensive meetups you are able to attend.

2.Interact with other business proprietors. This is when this method can get good for you! Engage them regarding their business and exactly what a good prospect looks like on their behalf. AND THEN…
Request the way they are producing leads. Personally ask them if they ever considered marketing their business on the web. Inform them that you could demonstrate to them a simple cost-effective method of doing it!

Sidenote: You’ll stick out for miles, because you aren’t pitching your company. You’re helping them build their own!

3.Follow-up! At these networking events, many people are pushing their business card out! Your job should be to take theirs! They’ll want yours, too, and so have your business cards available. The fact is that many people that attend networking occasions NEVER call or follow up. You end up standing out from the crowd! Your call back could be: Hi Joe, this  is ____. Internet Marketing Vs Network Marketing?

Internet Marketing Vs Network Marketing?

Which one would you like to venture into?

An Internet business? Or, a network marketing business?

In my opinion, you have to do some soul-searching figure out what you really want (money, good contact, getting new knowledge, building a team etc.). Then learn and investigate, do some research. Yes, you might fail in either one of both – be it in network marketing or internet marketing. But sometimes, you don’t really fail but you’re actually progressing towards your goals. You may not realize this in the process but mat see the bigger picture once you reach your goals. Thats why goals are so important and effective. We need a path to travel down.

Let me give you an analogy. You build a website and do lots of traffic generation, and you are spending your hard-earned money for two months now. Results = no sale. No income.
Then you quit, take down your website and look for other avenues of income.

What you didn’t know was…

If you kept doing what you had been doing, you would have made your first sale on the third month, fourth month and so on. You could be generating income from your internet business. But, this all will never happen if your story was written only until month 2.

You might think that this story is fictitious and yeah, a story to make you feel good but nothing more than that, but what if I said that this actually happened to me? To tell you the truth, it really did happen to me and I hope it can be an inspiration to anyone reading this article too.

I made my first sale only after three months on the internet and by that time, I have spent lots of money growing my business. looking back it has all been worth it. there are two people in this industry; those that succeed and those that fail.

Back to internet marketing vs. network marketing…

My take is… find a way to do both.

I got a chance to read an ebook by Daegan Smith and I believe it will be a good start to know more about doing network marketing on the internet. Daegan talks about lead generation from the Internet and building an effective website to drive quality prospects to your network marketing opportunity. All of this can be setup once and can passively attract prospects over and over again. For some of you, this is not something new.

If you study carefully, there are many other internet marketers joining or considering to join an internet based network marketing program. Some may already be making a lot of money from their internet business, but why are they still looking into network marketing?

Probably it’s not money they are looking for.

It may be because of the value in the network marketing program itself.

They may have fun just to be around successful people in another business field. Whatever the cause is, you can have both internet and network marketing as your income generator. In summary, I should consider internet marketing and network marketing at the same time. Successful Entrepreneurs are always open for new ideas and new business ventures.
